SCSSA State Team Requirements – effective 2008 skeet year
The South Carolina Skeet Shooting Association (SCSSA) will continue to recognize annually the State’s top ranked shooters. State Team Members will be selected as follows:
A. State Team Designees must attain SCSSA State Target Minimums:
State Target Minimums are 200 targets less than the NSSA Standard as defined as follows on page 24 in the NSSA Rulebook:

12 Gauge – 1000 targets
20, 28, 410 Gauges – 800 targets
Doubles 300
Concurrents
12 Gauge – 800 targets
20, 28, 410 Gauges – 600 targets`
Doubles 300
Sub Junior, Senior Vet, Super Vet
12 Gauge – 500 targets
20 gauge – 300 targets
28, 410 Gauges – 200 targets`

A minimum of 800 total targets must be attained at South Carolina shoots other than at the shooters home club.
All State Team Qualifying Targets are to be shot at an NSSA/ SCSSA registered shoot in which a NSSA certified referee presides. Monthly and League targets do not qualify for meeting South Carolina State Team Target Minimums.
HOA averages are determined by taking the average of the State Team Qualifying Targets in each of the four gauges and dividing by four. It is the SCSSA Vice President’s responsibility to coordinate the tracking, computation, documentation and reporting of the SC State Qualifying Target HOA Averages.

State Team members will be listed each year in the South Carolina Skeet Shooting Association State Championships Program
State Team Members will be recognized each year at the SC State Championships annual meeting or banquet.
State Team Members will be recognized annually in the NSSA “Skeet Shooting Review”.
Awards:
An engraved bronze SCSSA medal showing the team members name and annual average will be awarded each year to all State Team members. The medals are to be engraved as follows:

A SCSSA belt buckle will be awarded any SCSSA member making the SC State Team “Top Ten” for the first time. The team member may select either an antique brass or two tone brass and silver buckle.
In any subsequent year that member makes the state team they may elect to have the SCSSA Sec/Treasurer order them a buckle for which they will be billed.
The buckle will be engraved as such:
