SCSSA Honor Roll 

The intent of the South Carolina Skeet Shooting Association is to recognize shooters or non shooters who have contributed selflessly by exhibiting persistent and dedicated service to the South Carolina Skeet Shooting Association, NSSA, it’s members and it’s member clubs.

SCSSA Honor Roll Criteria – Points System 

Section A – Non-Subjective Criteria 

Has Served as:                                                                                       Earned Points

 SCSSA Secretary Treasurer - two years or more                                                       3             

SCSSA Skeet Chairman, Organizing & Running Shoots– two years or more                                                            

SCSSA Referee - 5 years or more                                                                                 SCSSA/ Club Helper – Supporting Shoot Management - 5 years or more               3

SCSSA/ Club Mechanical & Technical Helper - 5 years or more                             3          

NSSA National Director - two years or more                                                           2

NSSA Master Referee – two years or more                                                               1

SCSSA President – two years or more                                                                      1

SCSSA Vice President – two years or more                                                              1

SCSSA Chief Referee – two years or more                                                                 1

Section B – Subjective Criteria                                                                        

 Has Selflessly and Persistently Participated by: 

 Exhibiting and modeling exemplary sportsmanship                                                  1                                                                            

 Actively demonstrating and insisting on safe gun handling procedures                  1

 Tackling the many necessary tasks to support club/s                                                2

 Attracting and encouraging new shooters to the sport                                              2

 Helping and encouraging young shooters in all aspects of shooting                         1

 Helping and encouraging club members in all aspects of shooting                           1               

 A maximum of 30 attainable points

Selection Process 

Consideration for selection to the SCSSA Honor Roll requires attaining a minimum of  6 points per the above Section A Non Subjective Criteria and a minimum of 2 points per the Section B Subjective Criteria.

A potential member of the SCSSA Honor Roll must be nominated, in writing, for consideration by an SCSSA member or a member of the Hall of Fame Committee. The written nomination is to be forwarded to and considered by the SCSSA Hall of Fame Committee. The Hall of Fame Committee will make a subjective decision on that candidate’s inclusion to the SCSSA Honor Roll.

The SCSSA Honor Roll member will receive a bronze SCSSA medal engraved per;

Recognition:

 A plaque illustrating the names of all Honor Roll Members will be posted in the South Carolina Hall of Fame. 

A list of Honor Roll members will be permanently posted on the SCSkeet Website 

The Honor Roll member will be first announced in the SCSSA State Championship Shoot Program

 The Honor Roll member will be recognized at the SCSSA Annual Meeting or Banquet.
