Minutes of the 2009Annual Meeting – South Carolina Skeet Shooting Association
The annual meeting of the SCSSA was called to order by John McMahan, Friday evening, August 21, 2009 at Partridge Creek Gun Club. All officers were present.
The minutes of the 2008 meeting were presented and approved.
The Treasurer’s report was given by Stan Salter. Mike Malone moved to accept the report. The motion was seconded and passed.
The Director’s report. Rod Stroman announced that Forest City Gun Club would again hold registered events; the World Shoot had changed format to reduce it’s length; Don Snyder had resigned as Executive Director of NSSA/NSCA; and the NSSA would increase recognition of lower classes and junior shooters to promote more shooting.
The Hall of Fame Committee report was given by Al Morrison. He announced the selection of Mac McRae for inclusion in the HOF. Ed Ricker recapped Mac McRae’s accomplishments.
Election of Officers
The Nominating Committee report was given by Eldon Carson. Al Morrison moved to accept the report and elect the proposed slate. The motion was seconded and passed and the following officers were elected for 2010:

Unfinished Business
John McMahan announced that the move of the Hall of Fame from Triangle Gun Club to Partridge Creek Gun Club was near completion. Ed Ricker asked if the SCSSA could reimburse Partridge Creek for some minor expenses incurred in displaying the HOF. He was assured, without objection, that they would be reimbursed.
New Business
The Executive Council proposed that, as a result of NSSA’s change to their minimums, Article VIII, Section 4 of our by-laws be amended to set our minimums IAW the following table:

Al Morrison moved that this amendment be approved as proposed. The motion was seconded and passed.
Bonnie Gill moved that the by-laws be further amended to stipulate that only targets shot in competition be counted. League targets and Monthly Targets will not be counted. The motion was seconded and passed.
Mid Carolina Gun Club proposed holding the 2010 State Championships at that club on August 27-29, 2010. Mike Malone moved to accept this proposal. The motion was seconded and passed.
The 2009 State Team was announced
